The 2023 Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix wrapped up its race week on Sunday, July 23 with vintage races through the streets and a car show at Schenley Park. It was the culmination of 10 days of races, car shows and parties. All to benefit the PVGP’s charity partners.
The 2023 Grand Marshal, Luigi Chinetti Jr. commented on how much the PVGP captured the glory days of racing at places like Watkins Glen in the late ‘50’s – the race car paddocks under shady trees, cars racing on the streets, people interacting with the cars and racers, and he was mesmerized by the sheer size of the car shows and the diversity of cars.
Sunday’s on-track action was a spectacular cake-topper, with drivers pushing the limits around the tricky street circuit. Winners of the races are as follows:
